Why Consider the Total Cost?
When evaluating financial service providers, it’s essential to consider the total cost of your financial management, not just the fees you see upfront. Here’s what to look out for:
- Service Fees: Are they clearly explained and do they reflect the value you’re receiving?
- Provider and Investment Charges: Some fees, such as platform or investment management charges, may not be immediately obvious. We provide a full breakdown of all costs.
- Hidden Charges: Be aware of extra charges like transaction fees or fund switches.
- Commitment to Transparency: Does the provider offer clear, upfront information, or are there any ambiguous terms?
At Transform, we provide straightforward, competitive pricing with no hidden fees. This means no surprises—just high-quality advice and support designed to secure your financial future.

Cap on Maximum Fees: Peace of Mind
No matter the complexity or level of your investments, we cap our maximum total charge at £26,000 annually. Even if your portfolio grows, you’ll never pay more than this amount in combined ongoing fees, providing cost certainty and peace of mind as your wealth increases.
To give you a clearer picture, below are some examples of what our fees would be for people with different levels of financial complexity.
Example 1
Senior Executive with Low Financial Complexity
James is a marketing director in his mid-40s with two young children. He’s financially comfortable, with £800,000 in pensions and investments, but has never worked with a financial planner before. Keen to understand his retirement prospects, make smart investment decisions, and protect his family, James is seeking clarity and a long-term plan for the first time.
Fee for Advice & Implementation
- Financial Plan Creation: £3,995
- Implementation: £895 + 0.5% of £800,000 = £4,895
Total cost for our advice and implementation: £8,890
Fee for On-Going Management
James’ total investible assets = £800,000
- On-going Management: 1% of £800,000 = £8,000 per year.

Example 2
Married Couple with Medium Financial Complexity
Sarah and David are both professionals in their early 50s. With two children at university, they are juggling tuition fees, mortgage overpayments, and early retirement aspirations. They’ve accumulated £1.5 million across pensions, ISAs, and investments, but lack a joined-up strategy. They’re ready to bring order to their finances and ensure everything is working toward shared goals.
Fee for Advice & Implementation
- Financial Plan Creation: £5,495
- Implementation: £895 + 0.5% of £1,500,000 = £8,395 (capped at £6,000)

Sarah and David’s’ total investible assets = £1,500,000

Example 3
Business Owner Exiting with High Financial Complexity
Hamish is a 43-year-old founder preparing to sell his engineering business for £16 million. His financial affairs are complex — spanning business assets, pensions, ISAs, and property. He wants to minimise tax on exit, secure a lifelong income, and ensure his legacy is protected for his children and charitable causes. Strategic, holistic planning is essential.
Fee for Advice & Implementation
- Financial Plan Creation: £7,995
- Implementation: £895 + 0.5% of £16,000,000 = £80,895 (capped at £6,000)

Fee for On-Going Management
Hamish’s total investible assets after the sale of his business = £16,000,000

The Cost of Doing Nothing
Putting off planning for your financial future can end up costing far more than the initial fee for our expert support. With thoughtful planning and intentional decisions, you’ll gain clarity, confidence, and a strategy that helps you make the most of your money for years to come.
FAQs
Why does the cost of the financial plan vary between £3,995 and £7,995?
The fee depends on the complexity of your financial situation. Simpler cases with fewer moving parts typically require less time and analysis, whereas more complex circumstances — such as business ownership, multiple income sources, trusts, or estate planning — require a more detailed, tailored approach. We’ll confirm the exact fee after your free initial consultation.
What does the 0.5% implementation fee cover?
This fee covers the hands-on work of putting your financial plan into action — including setting up investments, coordinating with providers, handling paperwork, and making sure everything is aligned with your strategy. It ensures your plan doesn’t just sit on paper, but becomes a reality. This fee is capped at £6,000 for peace of mind.
Can I choose to implement the financial plan myself?
Yes. After your bespoke plan is presented, you’re under no obligation to proceed with implementation through us. You’re welcome to use the insights and recommendations to act independently — or return to us at any time should you need support later on.
What’s included in the ongoing 1% Evolve Management fee?
The ongoing fee covers full investment management, annual reviews, continuous financial planning support, access to your client portal, and expert guidance as your circumstances change. It ensures that your finances evolve with your life and that you always have a professional to turn to when decisions need to be made.
Are there any hidden fees or third-party charges I should be aware of?
No hidden fees — we pride ourselves on transparency. We’ll clearly explain any third-party costs (such as investment platform or fund charges) and provide a full breakdown as part of your proposal. You’ll always know exactly what you’re paying and why.
What if my investments grow — will my fees increase indefinitely?
No. While the Evolve Management fee is 1% of assets, it’s capped at £26,000 annually. This ensures you benefit from future investment growth without ever paying more than the agreed maximum. It’s our way of aligning with your success while keeping costs predictable.
