How Our Process Works

When it comes to how we work together, we favour a gentle and nurturing approach. Spread across six stages, our process involves a lot of collaboration and exploration. Here’s what you can expect.

Process 1 image

Initial 'Discovery' Consultation

Our first meeting is all about getting to know each other. We’ll ask you some questions about your current circumstances and what you’re looking to achieve. We’ll also tell you more about our services and how we might be able to help. The initial meeting is free of charge.

Life Plan

Next is where the power of life planning really comes into play. We’ll sit down with you and get you to think about your values, passions and goals. We’ll ask a series of questions that get you to dig deep and find out what’s really important. Find out more here.

Process 3 image

Fact Find

Now we’ll conduct a fact finding exercise, which helps us learn more about your personal information and current financial arrangements. At this stage we may also build a cash flow plan, but only if we think this will be beneficial.

Create

Armed with all the information we need, we will get to work creating your bespoke financial plan. Analysing, researching, plus a little magic behind the scenes, we’ll pull all of our recommendations together into an easy-to-understand report. We’ll then present this to you in person.

Action

It’s time to put your plan to work! If you’re happy for us to do so, we will implement our recommendations, contacting providers and taking care of the majority of the admin. We’ll also ensure you’re kept up to date with any progress.

Maintain

As your life, goals and circumstances change, your plan needs to evolve with them. We’ll meet regularly (as often as your situation requires) to review your plan and make any tweaks we need to.

FAQs

Do I Need to Meet with You in Person?

Ideally, yes. However, we’re also happy to meet via video call (Zoom or Teams) if that’s more convenient for you.

Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?

No, the initial meeting is at our expense. This first meeting is purely for us to see whether we’d like to work together, and for you to get a sense of how we do things.

What do I need to bring to an initial meeting?

Your ID (passport or driving license is fine) and any paperwork that you feel is relevant to what you would like to discuss. Statements relating to your current pensions/investments are always helpful.

How long should I allow for an initial meeting?

Approximately one hour.

Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?

No, the initial meeting is held with no obligation. It’s simply a chance for us to see if we could be a good fit.

How can I book an initial meeting?

You have several options. You can email, phone us, complete a contact form, or drop by our office. Full details can be found on our contact us page.

Do I need to bring my partner to the initial meeting?

We would encourage you to do so, but it is not essential for the first meeting.

How much do you charge for your financial planning service?

Our financial planning service starts from £3,995 and the cost depends on the complexity of your financial situation. You can visit this page to see how our pricing works.

What if I can’t locate all my financial information?

No problem! We can assist by reaching out to providers to help retrieve any missing details.

What level of wealth do I need to use your services?

We typically provide the most value to individuals with at least £500,000 in investable assets (excluding property) or high incomes.

How accurate do my financial figures need to be for the initial session?

Rough estimates are absolutely fine. Financial figures change frequently, so having an approximate understanding is sufficient for the first meeting.

Do other company directors need to be Involved in the planning process?

If you intend to use your business to achieve personal financial goals, involving other directors is often necessary. For companies with more than four directors, aligning everyone’s expectations can be challenging. While it’s ideal to involve all directors, it depends on how much authority you have over financial decisions within the business.
